Why I Built This House
Hey — I’m glad you found your way here.
I started this site because I wanted one place to hold all the things I care about — the work I’ve done, the projects I’m building, the ideas I’m still figuring out, and the legacy I hope to leave behind. My career has zig-zagged through product, partnerships, and marketing, but outside of that I’ve always been chasing creativity, community, and family. This site is where it all comes together.
I think of it like a house with a few different rooms. Each has its own personality, but they’re all connected.
The Atrium
Every house starts with an entryway, and the Atrium is mine. It’s where I open the door and invite you in. Inside, you’ll find a mix of strategy, culture, and behind-the-scenes thinking — things I don’t always share elsewhere.
It’s meant to feel close, like we’re sitting across the table talking it through.
The Emporium
If the Atrium is where ideas live, the Emporium is where they turn into something you can hold. It’s my shop, filled with creations I’ve designed to inspire — things for your home, for on-the-go, or just for everyday life. Some are playful, some are practical, but they all carry a bit of me in them.
It’s not about volume. It’s about meaning.
Free Thought
Then there’s Free Thought, my blog. This is the space where I let ideas breathe. Sometimes I write about business, sometimes culture, sometimes just connections I notice between the two. It’s unfiltered and evolving — a reminder that not every thought has to be fully formed before it’s worth sharing.
That freedom is where a lot of my best ideas start.
Legacy Work
And finally, there’s Legacy Work. This one runs deep. It’s where I think about the things that outlast me — projects tied to my son, August Key, the foundations and scholarships I’m helping to build, and the ways I want to honor the people who came before me.
It’s about past, present, and future all braided together — making sure the work doesn’t just live for now, but keeps opening doors for the next generation.
Wrapping It Up
So why this site? Because I’m not just one thing — and I didn’t want a site that pretended I was. This is a place for work and play, for ideas and products, for community and legacy. My hope is that something here sparks curiosity, inspires you, or maybe even pushes you to chase your own ideas a little further.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you’ll stick around and see what grows here.
